Hydrogen stripping test is to evaluate whether hydrogen stripping (HID) occurs in the surfacing layer of stainless steel on the base metal of equipment under high temperature and high pressure conditions. The parameters of hydrogen stripping test mainly include hydrogen pressure, holding temperature, holding time, cooling speed and cycle times. The test parameters are set by simulating the special conditions in actual working conditions. Hydrogenation reactor is the key equipment in petroleum refining, working in high temperature, high pressure and hydrogen environment. After the hot wall hydrogenation reactor was used for a certain period of time, it was found that the local separation of the hardfacing layer with good combination with the main body occurred during manufacturing, which was called the peeling of the hardfacing layer. Hydrogen stripping of stainless steel surfacing layer is an important problem affecting the safety of hydrogenation reactor. Gas phase hydrogen charging with autoclave is the main method for stripping test of surfacing block. It can qualitatively evaluate the stripping resistance of surfacing layer by metallographic analysis, and is also an experimental means for studying the stripping prevention measures of surfacing layer.
