Detection Purpose: Test the corrosion resistance of metal and its finished products to seawater
Detection range: 13/5000 Metallic materials used in shipping and Marine engineering
Seawater corrosion:
Seawater corrosion refers to the corrosion of materials (mainly metal components) in the Marine environment. The main characteristics of seawater quality: seawater contains a variety of salts. The salt content of surface seawater generally ranges from 3.2% to 3.75%. The salt content of seawater increases with the increase of water depth. Salt in seawater is mainly chloride, accounting for 88.7% of the total salt. Seawater is slightly alkaline with a pH of nearly 8.
Metal seawater corrosion generally produces two kinds of corrosion: electrochemical corrosion and microbial corrosion.
