Double resistance test refers to the general term of SSC capability of hydrogen induced cracking (HIC) and hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion resistance of pressure vessels and metal products such as oil pipelines, flanges, valves, automatic instruments, boilers, liquefied gas tanks, etc., including HIC hydrogen induced cracking test and SSC hydrogen sulfide stress corrosion test.

In the development of H2S bearing oil and gas fields, H2S medium is often contacted. In the design and material selection of flange, valve, automatic instrument, pressure vessel and pressure pipeline, sulfide stress corrosion cracking SSc and hydrogen induced cracking HIC exist in the pressure components, which are highly valued at home and abroad, because it directly relates to the safety of pressure vessel and pressure pipeline.

The purpose of double resistance test is to seriously inspect the production process of materials and the industrial practice of production and inspection, pass the SSC and HIC assessment, and ensure the safe production and operation after the project is put into production.

The valve stem is the main pressure bearing part, which plays an important role in bearing torque and opening the valve. Therefore, in the design process, the valve not only ensures corrosion resistance but also improves its mechanical properties.
