Detection Purpose: Test material's resistance to high temperature and high pressure sulfide stress corrosion
Detection range: Oil pipeline, boiler, liquefied gas tank and other pressure vessels, metal and other products
Sulfide stress corrosion cracking (SSCC or SSC) is a special type of stress corrosion (SCC), but it is different from the stress corrosion in general. In the stress corrosion in general, the role of environment is mainly anodic dissolution, while SSc is mainly cathodic hydrogen charging. At present, SSC mechanism has not been fully revealed, but most scholars tend to believe that the cracking is caused by hydrogen, and sulfur ions or hydrogen sulfide can promote the diffusion of hydrogen into materials. In long-distance oil and natural gas pipelines, sulfide stress corrosion cracking of high-pressure and high-strength pipelines will cause major safety accidents. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate the SSC resistance of pipeline steel to ensure the safety of pipelines. High temperature and high pressure SSC test, that is, in the process of SSC test, simulate the actual use environment, and the pressure of hydrogen sulfide gas, and test the material's resistance to high temperature and high pressure H2S corrosion.
